more information is needed for a precise answer. As in what engine? The 2.4 or 3.1?
Also what temp sensor. I can't tell you a location without more info but the sensors are easy to replace depending upon location. Make sure the engine is cool enough to touch.
You can either drain the coolant system or swap the sensor real fast.
Make sure you use thread sealer on the new sensor. Do NOT use thread tape on sensors. Use a liquid pipe thread sealer. Using tape can and will block the ground between the sensor and engine if use that way. Disconnected the battery, negative side first.
Unclip the old sensors wiring connector. Unscrew the sensor turning it counter clockwise. If you have not drained the system and are going to swap it fast. Unthread the sensor just till it starts leaking and get the new sensor ready. With one hand hold the new sensor next to the old one. With the other hand finish turning out the old sensor and quickly turn in the new one. Careful though as to not cross thread it. If you have to turn the new one in with force you may have it cross threaded. Tighten the sensor till it is snug within the block or head. Reconnect the wiring. Add coolant and reconnect battery.
No
Follow the main hose that goes from radiator to engine block. It is on engine block between the main hose connected to engine block and a pullye. The heat gauge wire is snapped on the sensor. Remove the wire and replace the sensor.
They are threaded, but ypu need a special socket. Also, applying heat helps to loosen it, but they are tough to remove. Just unplug connector.
wher is location of heat sensor on 2003 grand prix 3100
You have to use heat and they make a special socket.
These fans work off of heat sensors. Your sensor can be failing, replace this sensor. This still does not tell where the sensor is located.
heat sensor
It is part of the pressure transducer inside the transmission, on the valve body.
Unplug sensor--- sometimes you can get a wrench on the sensor if not you will have to purchase the special socket.Genuine parts are often high so you can get the sensor at an auto store directions are included with the sensor as how to attach the pigtail and ude the heat shrink tubing suppied
The V.S.S. [Vehicle Speed Sensor] on a 1998 Ford Windstar is located on the passenger side, rear side of the transmission. It is well hidden, and to replace it you must first remove the silver heat shield between the tranny and the exhaust. Then, it is above the pipe and on the top of the tranny. It requires a 10mm socket. For the most part you must use the "touch and fell" method to get the socket on. Once the bolt is loose, remove it and pull out the sensor. To replace, reversr the process.

The heater core may be stopped up. Try flushing it, or replace it.
