How do you remove radio in 2005 Ford Five Hundred?

To remove the radio you must first remove the bezel around the floor shifter ,,, removed the chrome trim ring around the shifter with a flat bladed screw driver and then pull up on the bezel around the shifter . then you can access the two lower 7mm bolts on the bezel around the radio

once the bolts are removed you can pry the bezel around the radio off and you will have access to the four 7mm bolts that hold the radio in place .

remove the bolts and slide the radio out and unplug the radio .. and its out ..

if you are getting a radio from a junk yard ,, or that was allready in a car ,,, then the radio should just plug in ok and work fine ,,,, but if you are getting a new radio ,,,then after you install it ,,it will need to be programed a t a dealer in order for it to work properly. .. since you are not going with a nav radio and just a upgrade to a 6 disc ,,,the plugs will be the same and plug right into place ..
