You will have antifreeze leaking out and dripping on the ground.
Look at the oil on the dipstick. If you have antifreeze leaking into the crankcase the oil will be milky.
Antifreeze will be leaking in the floorboard on the passenger side, there will be a smell of antifreeze through the vents.
It's either stopped up (no heat) or leaking. If leaking you will smell antifreeze (sweet sickening smell) and it might fog up your windshield with the defroster on. Leaking alot, the carpet is wet. Keep an eye on the antifreeze level.

There's no antifreeze installed in a refrigerator. It's just that you will have to set the temperature into normal and then the internal part will slowly get hot.
If the hose is leaking, replace it.
If it is leaking antifreeze or water, or if it is making noise or binding when turned by hand.
