You will have to surrender your NY license. Present your NY license to any SC DMV office and apply for a SC license. You should not have to go through any written or road test, but will have to pass an eye test.
In Illinois and most states you must past written, vision, and practical (actual driving) tests.
By going to South Carolina's office for the drivers license and submitting a required application with your current Texas driver's license. WHen you pass your eye test, etc, you will have to surrender your Texas license and you will be issued a SC license in its place. BTW - SC DMV will check with TX DMV to determine if your Texas license is valid.
There isn't yet, but in some states you have to take an eye test over the age of 65
It is required that you take a written test, and eye test and a driving test in order to qualify for your drivers learning permit in most states. I hope this helps and good luck....
State laws may vary, but in Kentucky if you lost or allowed a drivers license from another state to expire, you have to take the written test and the eye exam to get a license in Kentucky. You also have to provide proof of identity, such as your social security card, and have a document from the state where your license was issued. Also, if your Kentucky drivers license expires even for one day, you have to retake the written test again.
No matter what age you are, if you do not have a driver's license, you will have to take a written and physical driver's test. Also, an eye examination (reading a chart at a specific distance), is required.
I'm not sure what state or even what country you are in, but, in most areas, DMV eye tests only require you to have 20/40 vision and you look in the machine with both eyes, so, as long as one eye can see 20/40, you should be able to pass. Even if you don't pass, I don't think they are going to confiscate your license, the machines at DMV are out of calibration or busted half the time, I think they just tell you to go get an eye exam. If you live somewhere where they let you renew you licence by mail, your optometrist can fill out a form that states you are able to pass the test (which you send in with you licence renewal). Even if you were totaly blind in one eye, you can still get a license in most areas, I knew a lady with only one eye and she had a license.
he had very bad eyesight but he memorized the eye chart to pass
no they want a thread to do eye brow
They will not, but they'll make you fail a test for adulterants.
Once your drivers license has expired, it IS illegal to drive/operate a motor-vehicle in any state. If your license has been suspended/expired for longer than 1 year, you will need to re-take the written portion of the driver's test and the eye exam. Driving without a license is a serious offense and punishable by fine or even possibly imprisonment.
