∙ 10y agoSounds like you have a leaky heater core. You will need to replace the heater core and give the cooling system a good flushing, it shouldn't be rusty.
Could be a heater hose
heater core could be rusty and old or line to heater core could be plogged most likely old heater core
Yes the lines can leak when they rust through.
you could be leaking engine oil onto the exhaust or it could just be rusty water that is evaporating and causing the smoke.
Because it takes shiney metal and makes it rusty
probably the return spring(s) are broken or the brakes are contaminated (gear lube from leaking axle seal) or if it hasent been used in a while they could be rusty.
it all depends on where its leaking from if its leaking from a hose then it could be a quick fix of 40 bucks but if its leaking from a gas tank then you might be able to empty it and clean it out and maybe put a spot of weld on it but if its too bad then you might have to spend upwards of 400 bucks or more on a new one and if its rusty then dont bother trying to fix it....

Your heater core is most likely bad. Most heater cores are located behind the dash board on the passenger side that is why you found the leak on the passenger side. Change your water pump gasket, you blew it out. about 200 bucks at a shop
lack of proper care. lack of proper (distilled) water in the radiator.
because of weathering
