Sounds like you have a leaky heater core. You will need to replace the heater core and give the cooling system a good flushing, it shouldn't be rusty.
From what would water and coolant be leaking from back side of the engine of a 1996 century. can't see back there to get an idea. bottom of car is covered with rusty colored water.?

Your heater core is most likely bad. Most heater cores are located behind the dash board on the passenger side that is why you found the leak on the passenger side. Change your water pump gasket, you blew it out. about 200 bucks at a shop
