Remove the gas cap. Look for a schrader valve on the fuel rail to release the pressure. If there is none then wrap the fuel filter connection and be prepared for a spray of fuel.

You have to release the fuel pressure at the schrader valve on the fuel rail. The filter is located under the car on the driver's side on the frame just after the tank. It will require a special tool to release the disconnect.
The 1989 Camaro didn't have a 350 TPI (not stock, anyway)
9 to 13 LBS. No higher are lower.
Clogged fuel filter or weak fuel pump.
A bad fuel pressure regulator or a clog in the fuel return line that leads back to the tank will cause this.
It is located on the drivers side of the fuel rail at the rear of the engine.
