Adolf Hitler a German World War legend was born on 20 April in the year 1889 to Alois Hitler and Klara Hitler. This was in Braunau, a small Austrian town. Hitler was a bright student but stopped schooling in at secondary school level. He relocated to Vienna at the age of 18 to pursue a career in art. However, his applications to School of Architecture and Vienna Academy of Art were rejected. It was at this time that he became interested in politics. He later joined the German army in the first world war and was given the rank of a corporal. He was given several awards while in the army including the Iron Cross First Class award. Hitler was sentenced to a jail term of five years after he attempted a coup in the year 1923. After his release, he had enough backing to run for president in the year 1932 but he lost his bid. In 1934, Hitler became the supreme leader of Germany. Hitler started World War II in the year 1939. On April 29 of the year 1945, Hitler married Eva Braun and committed suicide a day later after writing a political statement and his will.
