Yes it is an interference engine. Which means if anything happens to your fan belt, you're in deep do-do. I have had two timing belt breaks. That's so bad that I'm writing a book about it. Titled "What Dae Woo Want?"'
I wish I could find an Opel Ecotec engine that I could install in my 2001 Daewoo Laganza 2.2 Liter D-Tec Engine. Anybody got any good ideas email me
