If your husband poured barsleak in the crankcase, it probably stopped up the oil pickup screen. It is supposed to be poured in the radiator. The engine is probably ruined if you have driven it with the oil light on.
Either it will not run at all, or run very poorly. Either is likely to do severe damage to the engine.
Do you mean into the engine? If so it depends on how little; a quart is too much for a small engine. There wouldn't be any immediate damage but change the oil before running the car again.
Transmission fluid can be poured through the engine compartment on a Honda Accord. There is a dipstick and reservoir where the fluid can safely be placed.
Drain the oil and gas out of the crankcase and put oil back it should be OK
The engine will knock.
Change the oil
It won't hurt it at all .old mechanic's use to pour it through the carburetor to build the litters up
I don't know if I should answer this, but antifreeze or regular engine oil would do the trick. But it won't happen right away it will take between 500- 1000 miles
No it won't hurt it. If you only poured a little in the radiator I wouldn't give it another thought. If you poured a quart or more in there you probably need to get your radiator flushed before the temperature starts hitting any extremes. Aluminum engine parts can be a little touchy if they aren't heated and cooled uniformly.
As in...spilled some on the engine?poured some in the crankcase?filled the fuel tank?used it as an engine coolant in the radiator?AnswerIf you spilled some on the engine... don't worry. No harm done.If you poured some in the crankcase, just drain it out, replace the oil then change the oil again in about 100 miles. The diesel fuel will soften deposits and tend to cause the next oil to get dirty very fast. Some people have even put one quart of diesel fuel in the crankcase before changing the oil, just to get rid of deposits, although I don't recommend it.If you filled the tank, just siphon as much out as you can and fill it with gasoline. It will run a little rough for a while, and you may need to start it with the assistance of some starting fluid, but the engine will eventually burn out all of the residual diesel fuel and it will be okay. It may take a couple tanks to clear it all out though. If you used it as an engine coolant in the radiator, just drain and flush the coolant a couple times. I don't mean to flush with chemicals, just run some water through it. A small amount of light oil in the coolant won't hurt anything.
It will stall the engine
