yes,it will not hurt it
You can, but I would not recommended. Due to it's not a new truck and high mileage. You can put 10W30 or 10W40 instead. I think the 5W30 may hurt your engine.
no
it wouldn't hurt to mix the oils, I mixed 5w30 and 10w30 in my 1986 Lincoln town car because 5w30 bled right through, seeing as it leaked from everywhere, I probably went through a liter a week. Straight 10w30 leaked maybe a liter a month, but caused the engine to run much rougher. After mixing the two, I went through a liter every 2-2.5 weeks and the engine ran fine
It is a 4 stroke engine. Only use that mixture on 2 strokes. It won't hurt it but you will have alot of smoke and eventually build up. So no. straight gas and 5w30 or 10w30 oil in block.
Use exactly what the manufacture recommends and nothing else.
It shouldn't hurt anything until you get into the colder months. But, 5w30 is the recommended oil for that car. 10w30 is also a suitable oil down to 0*F.
It depends on the situation. Personally, I wouldn't use 5w20 instead of 10w30 for a complete oil change. However, using it to top off a quart or two shouldn't be an issue. Oil shears over its life so a little thinner oil shouldn't hurt the engine.
It shouldn't hurt anything, the number first on motor oil is a cold weather viscosity rating, the 5w will be lighter and more viscous in low temps than the 10w
The 4.9L, 5.0L and 5.8L call for 5w30. Although a 10w30 would not hurt to use as well.
Yes, it will hurt. Honda designed and built the engine and they recommend SAE 5w30 oil. So there is your answer. Use what Honda recommends and nothing else. To do otherwise would be foolish.
i have read on forums that you can it doesn't hurt.
