If the check engine light is blinking , that means a cylinder misfire has been detected
The engine is not hitting on all cylinders or the distributor (electronic or manual) needs adjustment.
Check engine light on?? Not running on all cylinders?
When the engine light comes on and the car shakes at the same time, it could be the spark plugs or ignition coils are faulty. Misfiring is causing the car to shake.
Sounds like an engine misfire. Can be bad spark plug, plug wire, fuel injector, or bad coil on plug.
The flashing engine light indicates a severe engine trouble code, for example constant engine misfire. If you pull the code with a reader, you will most likely pull up misfire on at least one cylinder.
Thankfully mine does not shake, thanks for asking. This is really not enough information to diagnose the problem. Does it shake the same every time or does it not shake or shake less sometimes? Is the "check engine" light on? Is there a speed where the shake is more pronounced? Does it have to be full throttle acceleration or does it shake under light acceleration too? Is there a noise accompanying the shake? If you accelerate around a corner is the shake any different? Left or right turn make a difference?
Start with diagnosing the check engine light. The code(s) set should help in determining what the problem is. Your local auto parts store can read the codes for you and offer some advice for free.
Engine Misfire? check engine light on? If so have vehicle scanned to determine the problem
Can be engine miss or broken motor mount.
i don't know about the shake for sure, but i am betting that the chaeck engine light is going to be a miss fired cylinder.very common on chevy.get it checked as soon as possible.
Check the motor mounts.
