Answer- I suggest taking your car to a garage if I were you. Cars don't usually do this unless they need fixing.
ANS 2:If the fan stays running when the engine and radiator are cool you have a very cheap problem: The thermostatic fan switch is stuck closed. A new switch will fix the problem--the hardest part of replacing it is finding it. Follow the wires from the fan to the switch--it is usually on the bottom tank of the radiator. Drain the radiator first and save the coolant to put back in after you replace the thermostat. NEVER OPEN A HOT RADIATOR.If that wasn't it then check the following:
Many newer vehicles have electric cooling fans for the radiator. The fan motor is controlled by a thermal sensor switch located at the hottest place determined by the manufacturer.. Usually the top of the intake manifold. If the engine and cooling system are at the alloted temperature required for the sensor switch to complete the circuit to the fan motor, the fan will continue to run until the coolant temperature drops and the switch closes the circuit causing the fan to stop. There should be a warning decal on the fan shroud or easily spotted location under the hood indicating that the fan or fans could start running at any time and to keep your hands away
I own an manual transmission Australian model, Holden Astra TS 2000. I had the problem of the engine cooling fans continuing to operate after I turned off the ignition. In fact I woke up one morning and the fans were still going.
I researched the problem on "Google". It seems the problem was the cooling fan module. This module is located below the bumper, inside the front passenger wheel arch in front of the plastic wheel arch covering.
Cheers.
that means your battery will be dead in the morning
your engine wont turn over but it makes a clicking noise or if you turn the key to the notch before the one that turn on your car then turn on your radio and if it doesn't turn on you have a dead battery.
Car just shut off checked getting fuel cranks good just wont turn over
u can shut off a car while its in gear u just wont be able to get the key out without it being in park and the sterring wheel may lock but u can shut a car off with it in gear
Viper Car Alarms will also shut the engine down.
My car starts but it shuts off it says ck engine
With the cylinder removed there is no easy way to turn the switch it would normally operate to the "off" position.
It cAn be 1 of many things blown fuse from the batery to the fuse box could also be ur alternator did ur lights turn off or are they still on
Replace the battery or the carbarreta
because when a car is on to long it will shut off because it was on to long
With many cars now days, the fan may continue to run after the car is shut off, or they may even start and run for a while after the car is shut off. An engine will actually get hotter for a short time after being shut off. Sometimes that will trigger a sensor to turn on the cooling fan. If it continually runs after being shut off, it could be a faulty temperature sensor, or a faulty fan relay, or even a bad computer.
it's probably designed to stay on a while and cool the engine. I would want confirmation on that though.
