this is a common problem with the Vortec engine and the manifold gaskets that GM uses. In fact, if you do a search on GM manifold gasket you'll see all the chatter about a class action law suite related to this problem. Bottom line is that you'll need to replace the manifold gasket - preferably with an after market replacement (like Fel Pro) so you don't have to do it again!
Yes you can.
Your battery is not being charged
5w30 weight. Kendell and Gastroll is a GOOD brand to use.
sounds like your in the market for a starter.
Any of your door switches stuck depressed? This might sound stupid but is your light switch turned all the way to the on position?
One of the sensors is tripping the engine light. Codes need to be retrieved. Problems could be O2 sensor and or Catalytic Converter.
you could need a transmission flush or your syncro could be worn. try rev matching between gears and if it shifts smooth by doing that its probably your syncro
It takes a 5 volt signal from the Quad module or PCM to turn the fan on. Check voltage going threw plug.
In my1999 Wrangler all I have to do is pull out fuse #4 and that solves the problem. It may be different in a 2005. If you have your owners manual, check there. In the section on removing the hardtop you should find instructions on how to remove the doors as well. The fuse number should be listed there. I had the same problem...it was the "computer". I had to hit the dash for about a year, then it just stopped working. It was around 800.00 to fix. You need to do at a Chrysler dealer as they have to input the codes that your local mechanic will not have.
Unless the vehicle is misfiring, or there is a Service engine soon light is on, having worn timing components will not cause you to fail smog
The light is not a coolant light, it is a temperature light which comes on when the temperature of the coolant is above the limits. In other words you engine is overheating. Can be defective thermostat, bad water pump, clogged radiator, or blown head gasket.
