you messed your truck up
my steering wheel is locked my tires are straight and everything and it refuses to unlock what do i do?
the tires are starting to "hook up".
Yes if the vehicle is Front Wheel Drive, (FWD). If it is RWD, NO.AnswerIf you have rear wheel drive the tires will not turn due to being locked into park gear. They will move if you have it in neutral gear. Hope this helped.
The front tires ( the unpowered ones) lock up first, along with the one rear tire that is not being powered. In most cars, the rear tire with the least traction is the one that gets the power.

It says in my book that if there is anything wrong with the retractor, or if they are locked up from an accident the only fix is replacement.
Trade the rear tires to the front and the front tires to the rear. Every other time you do it, trade the right front tire to the left rear and right rear to left front
You cannot rotate tires on a vehicle when the rear tires are wider than the front. They must stay where they are,
DIRECTIONAL tires stay on the same side of the vehicle Front to rear , rear to front
The foil in front of the rear tires is there to proven air from getting under the rear tires and causing the tires to loose traction.
It is a Rear Wheel Drive so tire chains go on the rear.
