on a 200r4 or 700r4 its on the side of the transmission.

does a 1991 thunderbird torque converter have a drain plug
The torque converter doesn't have a drain plug on these vans.
can some one help me i need to know if it's possible that the transmission converter dsmmsge the motof
NO
No. The torque converter does not have a drain.
Some torque converters have a drain plug, others do not. With no drain plug the torque converter can be stood on its end once removed to drain it.
The tranny pan itself my not have a drain plug. The torque converters on fords have a drain plug and can be found in the front of the transmission where the torque converter resides. You can find this plug by turning the engine with a rachet on the crank or by gently turning the key without starting the engine. This will rotate the converter and youll find the drain plug. but to drain all the fluid you will also need to just drop the pan.
depending on the model of transmission you have you may have to drop the transmission pan. on the 4R70W transmission, there is no drain plug. you must drop the lower trans-pan in order to change the fluid. once the pan is down, remove the silver disk plug in the transmission case close to the motor. from here you have access to the torque converter. on the torque converter there is a drain plug to change the fluid here too. The vehicle uses MERCON V type transmission fluid. if you have the 4R70W trans, and you drain the torque converter, you can expect to put 14 quarts of fluid back in. The other transmission is the 4R100, and has a drain plug in the pan. follow the same procedure for draining the torque converter as well on this transmission. if you have this transmission, and are 2 wheel drive, the unit will take just over 17 quarts. If the vehicle is 4x4 the transmission pan is alittle larger and will take close to 18 quarts.
No drain plug. Filter is located inside the transmission pan on the bottom of the tranny.
Another post said it was on the front of the transmission towards the radiator.
