Depends on what engine is in this car. Use the 5W-40W grade fully synthetic engine oil. For gasoline engine check that the oil is A3 spec. For diesel engine, it should be B3 spec.
Semi synthetic 10/40 grade. Take your own pick on the make of oil.
Remove the oil cap and the eco plate underneath it. Disconnect the wires and remove the coil pack, and the spark plugs will be under that.
The service booklet for my Zafira 1600 petrol (2009)(25k) as been stamped twice, on each service they have used an SAE of 5w30 but could also used 0w30. or 0w40 and 5w40 only. Now!hmmm it doesnt say if its mineral semi synth or fullsynth , its due an oil change so im going to contact the vauxhall garage and try and find out what they used.
The Zafira is fitted with an eco (paper element filter) located at the front of the engine. you are looking for a black dome with approx 30mm hexagon on it when you replace the eco filter tighten only to the recommended torque shown on the filter housing Semi synthetic oil should be fine.
10w40 semi/part synthetic
5w-30 grade. 15w40
not an uncommon problem on these vehicles, the answer you need to find is how much oil is your engine burning. opel/vauxhall do actually state in handbooks that 1 litre of oil burned per 1000 miles is acceptable usuage (ie 20 litres of oil between services!) robb
