The fuel pump fuse is located in the power distribution box. The power distribution box is located in the engine compartment. The power distribution box contains high power fuses that protect the car's main electrical components from overloads.

The diagram of the fuses and systems they control can be found in the owners manual. On the 2001 Ford Focus the fuel pump is protected with fuse number 12, which is rated for 15A.

Always disconnect the battery before working on the power distribution box!

Always replace the power distribution box cover before reconnecting the battery!

There is also an emergency fuel pump shut-off switch, that turns off the fuel pump in case of an accident. The switch is located in the kick panel in the passenger side foot-well. The switch can be accessed through the recess in the kick panel.
