The 2001 Kia signal flasher relay switch can be found beneath the drivers side dashboard. The signal flasher relay switch will be above the brake pedal.

It is quite simple to replace the flasher relay switch on your 2001 Kia. The flasher relay switch simply plugs in and out.
If the turn signal lights come on but will not flash you have a defective flasher relay. Replace the relay.

2001 kia sportage will not turn any gears
The 2000 Kia Sportage signal flasher module can be found beneath the drivers side dashboard. The signal flasher module will be on the left-hand side of the brake pedal.
The turn signal/hazard flasher are controlled by the ETACS module, an integral component of the interior fuse and relay box under the driver's side dashboard. If you're sure it's the flasher, you'd probably have to replace the whole box. Check your hazards (four-ways) If they don't work either, change the switch.
If none of them flash but just come on and stay on the flasher relay is defective. If they do not even come on then the bulb is burnt out.
Remove the connector from your 2003 Kia rear turn signal. Take hold of the turn signal lightbulb, push in and turn at the same time. The lightbulb will come out. Reverse the process to install your new rear turn signal lightbulb.
