How much does a kenworth T60 dump truck weight?
Kenworth doesn't make a T60. Since you said "dump truck" and not
"tipper", I'll assume you meant the North American T600, and not
one of the Australian variants (such as the T604). What you saw was
probably a road tractor conversion - I've never seen a T600 which
came from the factory as a dump truck or any other type of rigid
(although I can't say that they don't exist). Next time you see it,
take a look at the back. If you see air bags, then it has an air
ride suspension, and was certainly a road tractor conversion. If it
has a Camelback, Chalmers, etc. suspension, it was some type of
sitework vehicle - it may have been a tractor, or it may have come
from the factory as a rigid. The transmission and gear ratios would
narrow it down.
As far as what it weighs, the T600 tends to be a bit heavy as
far as road tractors go. However, if it were a road tractor
conversion, and a double frame wasn't installed, you'd save some
weight there (but lose durability). Depending on configuration, bed
(material, length, wall height), you'd be looking at anywhere from
22,000 - 28,000 lbs.
