you have a blown fuse not for sure which one but it is on the passenger side
the dash lights went out in our older 1995 monti Carlo does the whole dash need to be taken apart or are you able to change lamps from behind
The dash light dimmer switch is either turned off or is defective. jd
a fuse or fulty wiring the brake lights are useually out the same time as the dash lights if that helps any
Look in your owners manual and it will tell you.
usually the dash lights and taillights are on the same fuse.
I had this problem with my Monte Carlo, I think it was that I needed a new turn signal switch. I think there was a sensor or something that was broke too?? But I believe the dash panel lights not working at night had something to do with a short in the turn signal switch.
Be sure the brightness control for the dash illumination isn't turned off.
The fuse for the dash lamps is blown, or the power feed to the dash panel lamps faulty, or the dash ground has been lost.
your instrument cluster is either corroded and needs to be cleaned, or the circuitry on it is fried.
A 1998 Monte Carlo with dash lights not operating can be fixed by located the fuse box in the engine compartment. The main fuse box above the battery should be checked for burned fuses.
I also have a 1997 Monte Carlo LS 3.1 and I've had the same problem. It was the alternator.
