push in the odometer button on the dash by the speedometer and gently turn and hold knob to desired time.
There's a buttton on the dash that changes it from miles to kilometers, or vice versa. It's near the trip odometer button, and is a simple procedure.
On the dash, right below the temperature gauge.
Press the start/stop engine button on the dash to display the odometer and then press the odometer button UNTIL TRIP A IS DISPLAYED, and WITHOUT pressing the brake pedal, PRESS THE start/stop button THREE [3] TIMES while continuiously holding the odometer button until display on the screen says COMPLETE. YOU'RE DONE!
gET TRIP DISPLAY TO THE ODOMETER DISPLAY; HOLD BUTTON FOR 5 SECS LANGUAGES WILL CYSLE THROUGH RELEASE BUTTON WHEN DESIRED LANGUAGE IS DISPLAYED
Put the key into the ignition and press the odometer button. While holding down the odometer button, turn the key to the on position. You will see "-----"on the odometer display. It will count down "-----" "----" "---" "- -" "-". Then you will see zeros on the odometer display "000000". You can now release the odometer button. This will reset the maintenance light on your dash!!!!!!
You turn the trip odometer button on the dash.
push in and hold the odometer reset button, then turn ignition key until all your dash board lights (enginge, gen, check eng, etc) come on. Wait until oil change light starts flashing, release odometer button. Shut off ignition. done.
That is just a mark left by the manufacturing of the dash panel. It is not an indicator of anything on the Jeep.

Get into your BMW and close the door. Fasten your seat belt. Press and hold down the odometer reset button. While holding this, turn key into accessory position. Soon, reset is displayed on dash. Release Odometer reset button. Press Odometer reset once more for 3 seconds, then release. All green LED for oil change are now restored.
With the car on, set your odometer to the odometer reading (as opposed to trip A or trip B). Turn the car off. Now hold the same button down and turn on the car. Your dash should show a graphic that is counting down the time until it resets itself. When it says "complete", let go of the button and you are good to go for another 5,000 miles.
