Under the cargo deck. Lift the deck and support it using the rod provided. Remove the cover and the spare tire. In the center of the spare tire compartment you will see a dome shaped cover for the leveling system air pump. Around the cover's bottom rim, you will find several mounting bolts, which when removed will allow you to move the pump aside. Be careful not to pinch or break the wires or air hose. You will be able to see the battery, but will have to remove the mounting framework for the air system pump. Finally, you can disconnect the cables and remove the battery. Since the battery is difficult to access, terminals are privided under the hood that allow for battery charging or jumping another vehicle. On the drivers side firewall you will find a red cover that covers the positive terminal. This is also where the alternator connects to the system. Close-by you will find a termainal for chassis ground too. Hope this helps.
