If your talking about front of the motor (passenger side) its most likely the water pump seal. Hope this helps.
Typically that leak is caused by a leak in the heating system. The heater core is under the dashboard, just above the passenger side.
Valve cover gasket, camshaft oil seal, power steering system, front main seal, etc.
On the passenger side in the wheel well behind the front wheel. Pull the front passenger side wheel and remove the wheel well cover. The charcoal canister is attached to the firewall in the wheel well. The Leak Detection pump is in front of the passenger side wheel below the air cleaner assy.
Have the coolant system pressure tested, the pressure test will increase the coolant leak.
On your Ford Explorer , 4x4 , you have a leak at the PASSENGER side front axle seal ( I have had my passenger side front axle seal changed 3 times now on my 1995 Ford Explorer ) The seal doesn't cost very much , the cost is the labor and I would say it takes about 1 and 1/4 hours to do the job

my 1995 Trooper had same problem it was the crankshaft position sensor located on the middle passenger side of the motor. I will remove the passenger side front tire and it is behind the shock, tight fit but can be done.
