Open the key case with a jeweler's Philips screwdriver. Remove the back cover. Use the Philips driver to remove the two screws that you now see. Remove the battery cover. My key uses a button battery: CR 1616. Note tyhe battery you need and buy a new one (RS store is a good place). Use a jeweler's flat blade to lift the battery up and slide out. Replace with a new battery and reassemble.

A battery drain on a 1993 Lexus SC300 can be identified by inability for your car to start.
One can find a UPS battery replacement by going to the CDW website. The CDW website has a service called the UPS Replacement Battery Finder that is used for this purpose.
should be on top of valve cover This picture will help you find the PCV valve http://www.clublexus.com/forums/es300-and-es330-forum/418700-2001-lexus-es300-pcv-where-is-it.html What you really need to know is that if your engine has been desludged the L shaped plastic PCV valve would have been replaced with the metallic, straight screw in PCV valve first introduced in 2002.
We found out how to perform this fix on a website called clublexus. Search it and you will find tons of answers about your es300.

the owners manual should say where the fuse box is located. Take out the appropriete fuse and replace it if it is broken.
You could try Battery Plus. They might have replacement batteries. You could also go to your phone's website, and see if you can get a replacement battery from there....

If the code is not in the owner's manual then call the nearest dealer and tell them the VIN #. They can trace it.
An APC replacement battery can be purchased from Source UPS, or Uninterrupted Power Supplies who can replace your battery and also dispose of the old one.
If you do not have it written down in the owner's manual, you need to contact a LEXUS DEALER. You will more than likely need the serial# off the radio. That will require removing the radio. Check with Lexus to b sure.
