chrysler/dodge scan tool Diagnostic Readout Box version two

No it requires a DRB III.
Diagnostic Readout Box. It is Chrysler'r scan tool.
You have to program it with a DRB (Scan tool).
Are you wanting to buy a scanner, or are you looking for the port? If you want the scanner, eBay is probably your best bet, or maybe a local dealership would be willing to sell you one of their old units. If you're looking for the port the location can vary from vehicle to vehicle but you're most likely to find it just behind the battery.
The population of DRB-HICOM is 14,689.
DRB-HICOM was created in 1980.
Answer thanks to About.com: "To program the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE ) transmitter access codes into the RKE receiver in the Passenger Door Module (PDM ) requires the use of the "Chrysler Diagnostic Readout Box" (DRB) scan tool. Chrysler DOES NOT provide a procedure for programming the RKE transmitter without the DRB scan tool for this make and model." In other words you need to either take it to a dealer to have them reprogrammed (call around to find one that will do it for free) or buy a DRB scan tool. -- Every dealer I've ever called about getting my 96 Orvis' remote programmed all wanted $50-$100. Locksmiths even gave me the same pricing :(
Chrysler does not provide any information for the "FD" or "Undocumented Code" displayed by a non-DRB scan tool. Please refer to the scan tool's owner's manual.
The OBD II Scan Tool is a professional Windows-PC diagnostics scan tool for compliant vehicles. The tool is very helpful and effective according to a lot of reviews.
