A bottle brush is perfect for cleaning sunroof drain holes on the Ford Escape. The smaller tip on a two-tip bottle brush can be inserted and then pulled out to clean sunroof drain holes.
where are the drain holes on the rear part of the sunroof and how do i clear them
does the rear sunroof glass have drain holes
Open the sunroof and find the four drain holes. Clear any debris. Blow air inside the drain tubes to find out if there is any blockage. Slide the replacement tubing inside the drain hose.
Make sure drain tubes are clear so water can run out
stick some thin wire down the holes
Our sunroof leaks after any heavy rain or carwash due to plugging in the sunroof drain holes. From what our service dept. claims, the sunroof does not form a perfectly water tight seal with the roof by design. There are actually tiny drain holes around the perimeter that allow any seepage to drain down through the windshield columns and out near the front tires. It should work unless debris is now plugging those drains.
How do you clear drain and tubes in the sunroof on a 2001 new volkwagen beetle?
I found the answer here: http://www.mazdaforum.com/forum/mazda-mx-3-mazda-mx-6-25/water-leak-17642/
In your sunroof there should be 1 hole in each corner. These holes act as drains for the sunroof. Every sunroof leaks, the drains let the water drop out of the vehicle at the bottom on the underside. Your drain holes are probably just plug up, maybe with leaves or something. Grab an air compressor and a hose and just blow the blockage out.
the drain plugs are at the front part of the sunroof you will have to take the sunroof out to see them
The Drains are the 2 little holes located in the front corners of the Sunroof. Was advised after paying for 3 drain cleanings by a Service Desk employee to blast them out with a can of Computer Air Spray using the little straw attached. Said that was all they did at the Dealership.
