Probably has a sticky brake caliper or sticky brake caliper sliders. Who ever replaced the brake pads should have seen that.
Replace the rubber brake line (replace both sides, they're not that expensive). The rubber swells shut or collapses or gets filled with junk. Not sure what really happens, but they basically get plugged up. Just went thru this with my dad's 1993 Chevy Silverado. Almost burned up the left hand caliper and rotor. Replaced caliper and things were a little better. Replaced brake hoses and it's perfect now!
Why do caliper bolts back out on a Chevy K5 Blazer 4*4?
Could be a frozen piston inside the caliper Could be a defective brake hose Could be a damaged (pinched) brake line
You need to change rubber brake line hose from caliper to frame they rot from inside. Thank-You!! That was the problem and now everything is working fine.
The caliper bolts may need lubricant as the caliper slides across the metal bolts it may squeak. Or overnight brake rotors can rust so when it first moves in the morning it may squeak.
The hose to the locked caliper is colapsing internaly and needs to be replaced.
Get a "U-clamp" that fits over the caliper and crank it down.
A 3/8" Allen wrench is used to r&r the caliper bolts.
It takes a 3/8" allen wrench to r & r that caliper bolt.
No they are not.
