Unrefined oil ("crude") is a mixture of hydrocarbons (HC) which vary by source. (Tappas vs Middle East vsPennsylvaniavs Texas vs .....).
You can get light, sweet crude which has almost no "oil" in it (all petrol/diesel type HC) or you can get superheavy crudes which are full of sulphur (VenezuelanCrude that's basically just bitumen tar).
Most motor oils are blends of refined base oils from 100 Saybolt Universal Seconds (SUS) to 850 SUS - blended in such a way as to give a particular end viscosity - and then charged with additives to manage corrosion, oxidation, etc. Crudes can range from 40 SUS to 40000 SUS depending on type.
Crude oil is the oil from the well. Motor oil has been processed. The motor oil must have certain properties, such as viscosity and density, and it can not contain any contaminants, such as sulfur. Crude oil is unrefined oil, and it has a wide range of viscosities and densities, and may contain contaminants.
The weight of motor oil will depend on the size container. A gallon of motor oil weighs approximately 7.5 pounds.
Unrefined oil is oil that has not undergone any processing or refining after being extracted from its source. It retains its natural properties, flavors, and colors. Unrefined oils typically have a stronger flavor and aroma compared to refined oils.
Most mechanics agree; Mr. Goodwrench motor oil can be replaced with any non detergent motor oil of the same weight. The owners manual should give guidance as to the proper motor oil weight.
You can use 10W-30 weight motor oil in your Mitsubishi. A heavier motor oil can be used in extreme climates.
20w50
10w30
10w40 motor oil will work fine!
refined.............
motor oil has got a boiling point/brake down point of lubricating oil to be 300-370 degrees Celsius. once it has boiled it loses its lubricating properties.
10w30 weight unless it is using oil. In that case use 10w40.
It is a multi-viscosity oil that is 5 weight when it is cold and becomes 30 weight when it is hot.
