Cooling fan should come on either when coolant temperature reaches 235 degrees or the A/C or defroster is turned on
Cooling fan should come on when coolant temperature exceeds 235 degrees Fahrenheit or A/C or defroster are turned on
The cooling fan comes on when the engine reaches a certain temperature and is controlled by a sensor switch that kicks the fan on when the temperature reaches the preset temp.
Usually between 220 and 230 degrees.
When 1990 Honda is running cooling fan does not come on but comes on when engine is off and I thermostat and temperature switch changed?"
Should run approx. 220 Cooling fan should come on at 235
The cooling fans on a 99 Nissan Maxima will not come on if the coolant temperature sensor is defective. The fan only comes on when the temperature passes a threshold.
fan2 should come on when the a/c is on. so both fans should be running when the a/c is on. when the a/c is not on, the driver side fan should come on when engine temperature gets up to 210 degrees. What would cause fan 1 to not come when a/c is running
In my experience, most electric fans come on when the coolant temp sensor signals the computer to start cooling when the car has run up to temperature. Another factor is the fan relay/fan relay control module. I think just the fan clutch type start up with the engine.
Check the temperature at the radiator when hot Cooling fan is designed to come on only when:A/C Compressor is on (either during cooling or defrosting) orwhen coolant temperature exceeds 235 degrees Fahrenheit
Yes
The fan is controlled by a temperature sending unit. They usually start the fan up between 180 and 200 degrees.
