The 2000 Dodge Durango takes 20" wiper blades on both sides front and a 16" rear wiper. See sources and related links below for more information. Since there are over 22 different wiper arm attachments, do not buy wipers just by length only - be sure to lookup exact wiper blade part numbers by vehicle make, model and year for the brand wiper you decide to purchase. This ensures correct length AND correct attachment.
yes
Replace the motor.
I had the same thing on my 2000 Crown Vic PI and it was the motor.
if you go to any auto parts place, they will have a book listing replacement wipers. Find your model car, and it will list compatible wipers and sizes. My 94 Acclaim is recommended 18" wipers, but you can get away with 20" if you like.
It needs to be checked out . There are many things that can go wrong.
Yes, but it takes 22" so why go smaller?
There may be a way, but my guess is that someone put the wrong size wipers on it. Would a shorter wiper blade eliminate the problem?

Go to your local autozone or advance auto and tell them that you need new wipers and theyll put them on for free and you dont have to jack with it.
The 2006 4 Door Civic LX Sedan takes special Honda wipers only. You have to go to the dealer to get them. (They're not listed in aftermarket catalogs) Not sure why they designed them like this, but they did! The coupe wipers on the other hand are more universal and you can get aftermarket replacements.
