Pull off the round rubber cover on the back of the bulb and then pull the secondary rubber cover. Push and turn
Open the hood and locate the wires going to the back of the headlight assembly. Unplug this connector from the lightbulb. Then pull the rubber cover off (don't unscrew it, just pull it off). There is a wire retaining spring holding the bulb in place underneath the rubber cover. You must push the loose side toward the headlight and lift it up to release this wire and then remove the old bulb. Put the new bulb in (orient so that the plugs are on top and sides, but no bottom). replace the retaining wire and rubber cover. Plug the connector back in.
For the drivers side: lift up the battery cover. Gently pull on the windshield washer fluid reservoir, it will pull out making the light bulb cover accessible. Remove the rubber cover to the bulb you would like to replace. The bulb is now accessible, twist the bulb gently and pull it out. The bulb simply plugs into the electrical socket, so all you need to do is pull it out once you've removed it from the headlight. Reverse the steps to replace the bulb in to the headlight. Use caution not to touch the bulb with your bare hands as the oils from your skin will effect the life of the bulb, I recommend wearing latex gloves. For the passenger side remove the rubber cover to the bulb the follow the steps listed above.
All you will need to change the bulb is a screwdriver and a new bulb. Remove the headlight cover using the screwdriver and remove the burnt out bulb. Once out, you can insert a new bulb into the slot and replace the headlight cover.
Open the Tundra's hood and locate the back of the headlight assembly inside the engine compartment.Unplug the electrical connector from the assembly and remove the rubber cover from the bulb socket.Release the retaining spring to loosen the old bulb, and then pull it directly out of the socket. Carefully dispose of the bulb to prevent it from cracking or shattering.Align the tabs of the new bulb with the cutouts of the mounting hole. Then, carefully press the bulb into the socket until it's secure.Install the rubber cover in its original position and reattach the electrical connector to the headlight assembly. Make sure the rubber cover is fastened to the socket before continuing.Start your Tundra's engine and test the headlights to make sure they work before closing the hood.
Open the hood, get to the back of the light, remove the rubber cover and the light is visible. Turn the light bulb housing and pull the bulb out. Installing is the reverse.
# Unplug the electrical connector from the backside of the bulb # Pull the rubber cap and bulb assembly from the back of the headlight lens # Detach the retaining ring then push straight on the back of the rubber cap and dislodge the bulb from the rubber cap. # Remove bulb
depending on year of the car, but generally, you remove the headlight cover (its a rubber cover on the rear of the headlight assembly). you will find the headlight's main/dipped headlight wiring. below this you will find the side light bulb wiring. this follows to a push-in type connector which holds the bulb twist and pull the connector and this should pull out from the holder. here you can next pull out the sidelight bulb. hope this helps.
Open Hood. Remove the cover from the headlight by prying up the keeper. Remove the metric 13 nuts holding the headlight in. Take out headlight and replace the bulb. Reinstall the headlight and reinstall headlight and cover.
If I remember correctly, there is a rubber cover on the back side of the headlight assembly (under the hood). Once that is pulled back, there is a a wire clip that holds the bulb in place. Once the wire clip is dis-engaged, the bulb will slide out of the socket/holder.
Open the hood and look behind the headlight. You will see a rubber cover with a electrical plug and wires coming out of it. Remove the electrical plug by squeezing the sides while pulling. Then take the rubber cover of. The bulb will be held in place by a metal wire. The wire if connected to the body of the headlight at the top, and held in place by a hook on the bottom. Push down on the bottom of the metal wire and it will come off the hook, and the bulb will come out freely. Then put in new bulb and reassemble in the opposite way you dissembled it. Have fun.
I did it few months back, under the Hood, when you check your headlight there is a metal ring like lock just unlock by pulling it easily, remove the rubber cover and pull out head light bulb.. done. Replace the bulb, and replace the same way.
