The cylinder head holds a lot of components and functions. For this reason, it is very important that it is properly set up. You need the appropriate configuration, tools and parts to achieve this.
engine block, piston, cylinder head, cylinder liner, camshaft, crankshaft, valves, crankcase/sump, inlet manifold, exhaust manifold, cylinder head cover
To open and close at the proper time to allow air/fuel mix to enter cylinder and for spent air/fuel mix to exhaust the cylinder.
The cylinder head torque settings are a list of parts in the torque sequence. It tells where everything is and can be found.

the parts of the cylinder are the base and axis
Cracks can be welded and then the head can be resurfaced.
1988-1991 yz250 motors are completely interchangeable. Some parts like the cylinder head use the same casting from 1988-1996. Note: although interchangeable the cylinder ports and cylinder head combustion chamber shape differ form year to year. The optimum setup for a 1990 yz250 is a 1991 cylinder with a 1992 head.
the grasshopper's head has many parts that do many different things and have many different functions. i don't know much about this, but i just finished doing a dissection of it!
The intake & exhaust manifold must be removed, then the head is remove. Head inspected for cracks and warpage, all gaskets replaced and all parts reinstalled.
