A shock absorber is the technical name for a shock. Its what is going to give your ride a not so rough drive. The better the shock the more comfort. IT IS WORTH IT TO GET A GOOD SET. O'Reilly Auto Parts has the Monroe reflex which in my eyes are going to be the top of the O.E.M. replacement. Ive sold many of them and heard the difference they made. They're usually around 50 bucks each.

Two of the major parts of the suspension system of a vehicle are springs and shock absorbers. The springs cushion the ride and give the vehicle a "bounce" as you travel on non-perfect roadways. The shock absorbers limit this "bounce" so you can maintain control of the vehicle.
