how to remove key stuck in ignition switch in Chevy colbalt
I have a 98 corrolla it gets stuck also . I have found that if you keep turning the wheel left and right while turning the ignition key , the key is locking and unlocking the wheel while trying to turn the key . It will loosen after a while . Also put some spray lubricant in the key hole .
There are several things that can cause a key to get stuck in the ignition. You can try turning the steering wheel a bit to the left or right to see if that allows it to release. Also, try pushing the key in a bit more and turn it to the lock position, then try pulling it out. Don't force the key or it could break off in the ignition.
Well, it sounds like the chip that is in your key may have broke or got stuck on a part of the ignition. I had that problem. This happened not long after I had had to have the ignition replaced?!?
