There is a symbol and light for temperature but, there is no symbol for low coolant. You need to raise the hood and take a look at the coolant recovery tank. That will tell you if it is low or not.
It means That you have a low coolant.
It means your engine coolant (i.e. antifreeze) is low.
Very few cars have a low coolant light but will have a overheating light. You can be sure it will look like water or a thermometer. Why not just raise the hood and check the coolant level.
You are low on antifreeze. If not, your float is stuck and sunk.
The low oil symbol on a 2000 Ford Taurus typically looks like an oil can with a drip coming from the spout. It may also have a "LOW OIL" indicator next to it.
On most cars the symbol looks like this (!)
it will say low coolant and it means you need to add a mix of 50/50 coolant and water to the overflow.
