there is a pully that moves to losen the belt, to find mine, I pulled on the belt to see what moved, then used a wrench(i don't remember the size right off hand) as leverage to losen the belt and pull it off. all in all, it's a 5 minute job, cuz they routed the belt over the top of the fan shroud.
Disconnect battery a battery terminal Losen the Alternator bolt which is located on the up/down bracket. Once losen, you can adjust the tightness/slackness of the belt. Hope this helps, james
on the alternator on top is a bolt losen that bolt and it will allow you to move alternator causing belt to losin
You need to losten the screws on the alternator to losen the belt, then you can take it off, and replace it.
losen the bolts off the top of the alternator so that it moves then take the botom one off.and losen the belt and take off the wires and your good to go
you have to loose two bolts on the power sterring pump 1) is on the front just under the belt that will allow you to losen #2. 2)this bolt is on the right side of the pump close the bottom you will have to losen it quite a bit then push and tilt the pump it should slide over.
Replacing the AC belt is probably one of the easiest things to do... Just simply losen the tensioner pulley and remove belt... Install new belt on all the pulleys then tighten the tensioner pulley. Its that easy.
There is a spring loaded tensioner that holds the tension on the belt. Get a wrench that fits the nut on the tensioner and apply alot of clockwise pressure that will losen the tensioner and allow the belt to go on and off.
i need to know what bolts to losen so i can change water pump belt on 1988 Nissan patherfinder
You'll have to loosen the alternator to get the belt off, unless you have a tensioner pulley in the sequence of the serpentine. yes it removes the tension to make it easier just did it last weekend.
yes, you actually dont even have to losen that bolt
disconnect the battery, losen the tensioner, take the belt out, then unscrew the power steering pump...then work in reverse....done
