i think it is the fan and or compresser slowing down
a bad AC compresser, or a metal AC line resting on the body (that would reverberate throughout the whole vehicle)
Yes. In some cars it does.
most auto AC compressers have an electric clutch. it is powered by a single wire running out of the compresser; disconnect this wire to turn off the compresser. most cars are set up to run the ac comp. even when nothing but the heater is on. this is done to keep the comp in working order year-round. patricklaw1957@yahoo.com
when i turn on the ac in my 2000 honda civic it makes a loud noise when the fan is working what could that be ?
Check the belt on the ac compressor of the 2004 Navigator. It sounds like the belt is slipping when the ac first comes on.
Well if it makes noise maybe the manufacturer messed up while putting the part on which meens you should have it replaced or fixed!
the ac belt or the compressor bearings are going bad
the clutch on your A/C compressor needs to be replaced.
Have a AC shop test the AC system pressure
YES. It only has 1 A/C compresser.
