The caliper (especially the rubber seal around the piston), the caliper slider bolts & seals and the pad clips should all be inspected, however if they are all in good condition there is no need to replace them. Inspect the caliper sliders carefully and if they show any sign of sticking or binding they should be cleaned out and re-greased or replaced if they are rusted. If the rubber boots on the caliper sliders are torn they should be replaced immediately.
The brake caliper boot seal keeps out dust and dirt. If not replaced it can cause the caliper seal to leak and the brakes to possibly fail. It is simple to replace.
you rip off or scrape the old stuff apply adhesive where the old stuff was and then apply the new rubber seal
Carefully take the boot out of the caliper with a small screwdriver being careful of the seal underneath. Then put the cylinder back in the boot and replace the whole thing back in the caliper.
Replace the rubber seal. You could seal with silicone but you would be unable to open it again.
i think you can replace the seal by removing the rubber shift boot
You probably need to free the slide pins on the caliper bracket.if the rubber protesters are torn buy a replacement kit . The slide pins have an rubber o ring and the hole the pin is in is supposed to be full of tenacious grease. The corrugated rubber seal prevent dirt getting and grease getting out. It best to replace. Cheap fix too.
Rubber.
