I would certainly change them and have done so when I've replaced head gaskets on my vehicles. They don't cost much.
If you are adept at 'reading' plugs, and they look ok, and you clean them, and you re-gap them to specs, MAYBE it would be fine to reuse your old ones. But to me it's cheaper just to replace these items which do wear out over time anyway.
Some spark plugs in some engines have an expected 100,000 miles' life to them. But I'd change them anyway while I was down and dirty doing the the head gasket work.
replace the valve cover gasket, easy fix
Change the valve cover gasket.
I had the same problem when i went to change my plugs. It was the rocker cover gasket
To change the spark plugs in a 2011 Dodge Nitro, you buy replacement plugs at an auto repair shop. The user manual will list the correct size. Follow instructions on new plugs to install correctly.
No. The valve cover gasket is leaking and should be replaced.
Change the plugs at 100,000 miles or earlier if the engine is not performing as it should.
Not sure what an XTL is, but usually when spark plugs are under an intake you should remove the intake to replace them. Don't forget to buy a new intake manifold gasket BEFORE you take the car apart.
The first three spark plugs (bank1) are simple, unplug then remove the ignition coils, and the spark plugs from there should be easily accessible. Now the harder part. The complete upper intake manifold (plenum) needs to be removed to access the rear (bank2) plugs (3 there). After removing, you should gain access to the other 3 coils. Unplug and remove the other 3 coils then remove the plugs. Any time the intake manifold is removed, you must replace the gasket, so make sure you replace the manifold gasket before putting it back together.

According to the owners manual, they have platinum plugs that should be changed at 100,000 miles.
Spark plugs do not leak oil. What you have is a valve cover gasket leak. This allows oil to run down on the plugs. Try slightly tightening the valve cover bolts. It that does no help, replace the gasket.Spark plugs do not leak oil. What you have is a valve cover gasket leak. This allows oil to run down on the plugs.
