you dont add clutch fluid. If the clutch is slipping that means that you need to buy a new clutch
you need to bleed your clutch fluid
check the clutch fluid or maybe you need to purgue
there is no such thing as clutch fluid. sorry you need a new clutch. There is indeed clutch fluid(same as brake fluid) in a classic Mini. The master cylinder is in the engine compartment directly above where the clutch pedal is located. I prefer to use Castrol brand available from Pep Boys in the USA. If the system is empty though you need to source the leak. Either from the master cylinder into the car or from the slave cylinder down by the clutch. www.HeritageGarage.com
All you need is BRAKE FLUID, DOT 3 fluid.
The clutch master cylinder gets it's fluid from the master brake cylinder reservoir. The clutch is below the brake and gets it's fluid by gravity. If you need fluid just add to the brake reservoir.
DOT 3 brake fluid.
The '96 200sx has no fluid for the clutch. This car has a cable operated clutch that needs to be adjusted. If the cable breaks the clutch will not disengage. If the clutch is getting tight it will need lubed. If lubing the cable doesn't work a new cable is needed.
All clutch slave cylinder require brake fluid. You will need to check and see if it is Dot3 or Dot4. Do NOT mix the two.
There could be a few reasons why a clutch pedal is stiff on a 1999 Accord. The clutch may be low on fluid or the clutch may need to be replaced.
Yes you do. The vehicles clutch works by hydrolic pressure. there must be fluid in the lines and reservior so that when you press the clutch pedal it has enough force to separate the pressure plates. Watch for the clutch fluid levels, usually they stay pretty constant, but if it has a leak you will notice the fluid level will be low. KeVin Toronto
The clutch fluid may be low. While facing the car, look for a reservoir in the upper right portion of the engine bay. Check the fluid level. If it is low, add DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid, then pull the clutch pedal up and try to press back down. If it falls to floor again, repeat the same process two or three times. If the clutch fluid reservoir is completely empty, you WILL need to bleed the clutch after adding fluid.
