After you drain and refill, turn on the heater all the way hot. Then after 5 minutes open the bleed bolt on the thermostat housing to bleed the air out. - - - - - The way I always do it is to open the bleed bolt (12mm deep well socket), turn the heat on full, then add coolant to the radiator while watching the bleed bolt. When coolant comes out of it, add just a little more to the radiator, and close the bleed bolt. Don't get stupid with the torque; it's an aluminum bolt screwed into an aluminum fitting, which means it can't take a lot of force. Just get it snug. Put on the radiator cap and you're done.
Antifreeze and coolant are the same thing.
60% water and 40% anti-freeze works better than, 50/50, unless it freezes often where you live.
50/50 Prestone antifreeze can be used in a Honda Accord. Also Honda makes their own brand of antifreeze that can be found at Honda dealerships.
The thermostat for the 90-93 accord is on the back left-hand side of the engine where the hose connects from the radiator to the engine, disconnect the hose and clamp it off or move it to the side as not to leak antifreeze (use a rag or container for antifreeze that comes from engine block). Unscrew the 2 screws from the hose adapter and take it off alone with the old thermostat. Replace thermostat as well as rubber gasket. how do i find the thermostat on my 1990 accord
How do you replace the clock on accord 1992
The filter is very close to the firewall and it's very difficult to replace. I still take my car to the dealer for this procedure.
pull off the front wheels. remove the calipers. remove the two screws that hold on the rotors. replace the rotors and reverse the procedure.
You can use Prestone.
Plain green.
ah.......radiator??
