in this case its ok to push the red button
the reset switch should be in the trunk on the right side
where do you find the diagnostics connector on a ford 1992 probe
Chris -Ford Tech...
in the trunk, under the carpet to the left side quarterpanel
you push the button down.
If you are talking about the inertia switch, it is in the hatch on the driver's side under the floor mat behind the wheel well.
ok all you have to do is push the red button in, if it will not click in and stay in then the shut off switch is most likely bad.Answerwe are trying to find out the same thing on a 1992 ford probe Is the switch the same for all ford products? i.e. 1998 Mustang------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------On a 1997 Ford Probe the fuel pump shut off switch ( inertia switch ) is in thecargo area under the carpet , near the drivers side taillight . If you don't smellgas or see any gas leaking press the raised portion of the rubber cover in orderto reset the switch . Turn your ignition key to the RUN position for a fewseconds and then turn your ignition key to the OFF position . Make anothercheck for the smell of gas or any gas leaking , if none , go ahead and start theengine
Turn the brightness control up. Could be the reset button for the odometer or another switch.
I don't know if your 1993 is the same as the 1996 Ford Probe , but on the 1996 it's under the carpet in the drivers rear of the cargo area , covered by a rubber cap , you push the raised portion of the rubber down to reset the switch ( P.S. close to the taillight )
on the tank its a pop out button
the fuel pump shut off switch is in the trunk at the back on the drivers side, underneath a carpet/wood cover.
