How do you change the power steering belt on a 1996 lexus es300?
How do you troubleshoot a power steering leak on a 1993 Lexus ES300?"
after finding out which of the four hoses is leaking, you buy a new one and replace it.
I have a 1997 ES 300 Lexus and my belt that controls the power steering when out, what is the name of that belt (and I thought I would just replace the other one as well, as they have 2) and the bigger belt so I can get pricing? If I take it to a mechanic what is a reasonable price for the labor and parts together and separately? Thank you kindly for whoever answers
yes they do... use dexron 3 friendly atf in your lexus power steering only... do not use power steering fluid!!! or you will be buying a new pump and rack and pinion... not to mention corroded hoses...
1994 Lexus ES300 are factory specified to allow for the use of automatic transmission fluid (ATF) as power steering fluid. Toyota most current specification for ATF is T-IV, which can safely be used. The Toyota part# for their factory Japanese PS fluid is 08886-01206.
