The 2004 Caviler antifreeze drain is on the engine block, firewall side, below and to the right on the exhaust header. There is a steel crossover tube and on the left you see the car heater lines, and then you see what appears to be the water pump manfold to your right . There is a 13mm plug on the coolant water manifold. Remove this 13mm plug to drain the engine block of the coolant. Open the cap of the clear over fill surge tank under the hood and place your garden hose into the surge tank and turn on the hose and flush out the coolant system. This flush should be done while the engine is running and up to Temperature. The fluid that exits looks redish pink in color. Be sure to refill with the General Motors coolant certified for your vehicle, due to the new Dextron coolant. Do not mix the old green coolant with the new coolant, for they are incompatable with one another. Be sure to shut off the engine after flushing and then turn off your water hose.
Reinstall the coolant system plug and refill your coolant system at a 50/50 rate of coolant to water. The big down side to changing and flushing your coolant system is you need to crawl under your car, which you will need a jack to get under your car, to access this drain plug of your coolant manifold. Good luck and try to avoid touching your exhaust system, there still pretty hot!
