In most cases the plugs you buy are already gapped to the correct setting, but you need to get the correct ap size and a feeler gage, slip the feeler gage between the plug gap and either pry it apart until the gage fits up to the correct size, or close it back down till it does.
Either way you will need the gapping tool, and the correct gap setting.
