Never heard of nor have I seen an Oxygen Sensor light. If you are referring to the Check Engine Light, then that light comes on when there is a problem with the emissions controls. It may be a bad O2 Sensor or it may be many other things. Don't assume the O2 sensor is bad. Depending on the year vehicle you own, which you failed to mention, you reset the light on most 1995 & older vehicles by disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes. On most 1996 & newer vehicle, you reset the light with an OBD2 scan tool.
The check engine light for the 2001 Isuzu Rodeo often comes on because of a sensor that is damaged or malfunctioning. The most common sensor is an oxygen sensor and when reset, this often allows the light to be reset.
An Oxygen sensor does not reset. You have to replace them and yes they are expensive.
Buy the oxygen sensor and fix the car and get the light reset !
The oxygen sensor can not be reset and must be replaced if defective.
Over time it may reset itself. But the best thing to do is reset it with and OBD2 scan tool.
how do you reset the digital miter timing belt light on Isuzu 2.8 turbo diesel
The computer will reset itself after a few driving cycles. To reset the Check Engine light you can try this. Disconnect the positive battery cable for 20 minutes. If that does not work you will need an OBD2 scan tool to reset the light. Go to the place where you bought the O2 sensor and ask them to reset the light. Some will and some won't.
Replace the sensorOnce you have changed the oxygen sensor just disconnect the battery cable for about 30 seconds and the computer will reset. If you don't make the repair it will never go away, that's what it is made for.
hi how do i reset tire pressure sensor light on
It does not have a reset. If the oil light is on, the sensor has failed or the oil pressure is too low.It does not have a reset. If the oil light is on, the sensor has failed or the oil pressure is too low.
disconnect the battery
a fouled out oxygen sensor can result in bad fuel economy, and make that dreaded check engine light come on, it can also make your car "bogg out" / sputter, when accelerating, when replacing, make sure to get the o2 sensor socket, makes for easy replacement... as far as the check engine light you may need to stop by dealership to have it reset, most will reset for free
