You begin by removing the small nut on the back of the mounting bracket. Hold onto the metal rod that it attaches to, or it will fall down into the engine compartment. You then remove the bolt on the front of the bracket that holds the battery in place. Next, you should remove the negative connection, followed by the positive. Next, lift the plastic cover off of the battery. Clean the connections to rid them of any corrosion. Place new battery into position, slide the plastic cover back over it, re-connect the connections - red, then black. Position bracket back over the battery and tighten the bolts. The battery should then be held tightly in place, and you are ready to go!
