GO A HEAD AND UNDO THE BATTERY!!!!!!LOOK AT YOUR DOOR AT THE BOTTOM SEEM,THE PANLE INFROUNT OF THE DOOR SHOULD HAVE FINS ON IT(YOUR BATTERY IS BEHIND IT RIGHT)KEEP LOOKING AT THE BOTTOM SEEM,AND FOLLOW IT TO THE PANEL THAT YOUR BATTERY IS BEHIND. THERE ARE ONE OR TWO BOLTS INBEWEN THE SEEN.THEN YOU NEED TO LOOK IN YOUR INER FENDER WELL THAY ARE SOME BOLTS THERE YOU NEED TO REMOVE, I THINK THAT THAY ARE STAR BITS.(WHEN I SAY SEEM I MEAN WERE THE BODY HAS A GAP IN IT WERE THAY SEPEREAT )

To replace the battery on a 1979 Corvette, disconnect the battery cables using the proper tool. Remove the bar that holds the battery in place and pull out the battery. Place the new battery in and reconnect the cables.
Remove the lower panel from left fender .
Start by removing the ground cable first(negative). Then remove the positive cable. At the base of the battery is a hold down clamp, held in by one bolt. Remove this and the battery will lift right out.
Open hatch behind drivers seat......remove battery cables.....remove battery hold down clamp at lower back flange of battery...pull out battery....replace in reverse order.
