A website named bransport.com carries lug nut removers for various size lug nut locks. It uses a reverse thread that tightens on the lug nut as you turn it counter clockwise to remove.

take it to a tire shop. they have a special scoket that will remove it.
Put the key in the lug nut lock and keep turning it until the entire locking lug nut cover assembly comes off...just keep turning it clockwise with the key until the whole thing comes off. Then use the lug wrench to remove the lug nut that is holding on the spare tire cover. Remove the cover and then take the other lug nuts off.
depending on the type of wheel lock you can use a 19mm socket or slightly bigger and use a hammer and lightly tap it on and then use an impact gun to remove it.they also make a "reverse threaded" socket for such issues as this or lug nuts the have "bulged"
2009 torrent, drive 22mm 12 point socket into stock lock lig and remove with breaker bar or long rachet. works for me, punch out with 9/16 18 bolt. I pressed my out. took all of 5 mins to do all 4 wheels
That car may have locking lug nuts if they are the factory originals. You would need the "key" for the lug nuts in order to remove them.

the lug nut adapter is located in the trunk with your jack, spare, and lug wrench, if you have taken it to a shop they may have put the adapter in your glove box, its about twice the size of a lug nut.
Remove the plastic lug nut cover with a screwdriver. Use the lug nut key to unlock the one special lug nut per wheel. Usually found in the glove box.
