the whole motor and transaxle must come out as one unit. here is how1.relieve fule pressure2.remove hood3.remove battery and tray4.remove air cleaner assembly5.remove crusise control actuator assembly6.put on jack stands and drain cooling system, engine oil, and remove drive belt7.label and disconect all fuel lines, electrical connections, vacuum lines, coolant lines, and ground strap.8.remove fan, shroud, and radiator9.disonect throttle linkage10.remove starter, and alternator11.unbolt and tie power steering pump out of the way12.unbolt but do not remove lines from a/c pump and put to the side13.unbolt exhaust pipe from manifold14.remove the transmission to engine reinforcement plate16.if an automatic tranaxle. detatch torque converter from lower bellhousing, remove the torque converter to drive plate fasteners and push converter back slightly into bellhousing17.use a hoist to lift out. do it slowly and make sure nothing is still atached. if so diconnect.18.once out of car separate from motor
